Independence from the South African electricity provider and others must be a top priority. Not only because this energy is obtained on a fossil basis, but is also subject to their price dictates. Own energy sources, two diesel power plants in Walvis Bay and a coal power plant in Windhoek, are also no longer up to date.
It is therefore time to expand renewable energy sources. A competence center, also responsible for training and further education, for renewable energy will also be the contact person beyond the borders of Namibia. The acceptance and the generation of independent and clean energy are the key for further industrial settlements and thus interesting jobs.
